That sentence brings tears to my eyes. I’m just so sad that it’s going so fast…but I’m so very thankful to God that they’re the healthy, gorgeous, happy little people that they are.
Wow. When I think back to two years ago at this very moment, I was like a beached whale in a hospital bed where I’d spent the past six week of my life on bed rest. I had three human beings growing in my body and I was fighting with all I had to keep them in there as long as I could.
I didn’t realize, two years ago tonight, that I would welcome them to the world the very next day. Nope, all I was trying to do that night was turn over without dislocating my shoulder, sit up without straining my neck, and breathe. Simple requests, right? well, not so much when you’re carrying triplets. I actually planned/hoped/prayed to last about another 5-7 days. I know that doesn’t sound like much, but statistics showed that every day I could keep them inside me would spare them from THREE days in the NICU (neo-natal intensive care unit).
But, my health took a turn and that is far more dangerous for the babies than life in the NICU would be, so my brilliant doctor made the call and they were born. August 21, 2008. Can you imagine watching as three human beings were pulled from your body? It was an amazing experience, let me tell you.
These two years have been a whirlwind of diapers, feeding, teaching, singing, playing, coloring, reading, rocking, cuddling, praying and sleeping. I thank God for every single minute of it.
I. Wouldn’t. Change. A. Thing.
Happy 2nd birthday to my sweet angels, Logan, Megan and Ryleigh.
You’ll probably have to endure at least one more post about their birthday.

Happy Birthday to the Sweet Babies…and Kudos to you, Mama!
Hey! Thanks, Girlie!!
My twins turned 2 in May so I understand your joy (minus 1!). So glad your babies are growing up healthy and strong. What a blessing.
Congrats on your twins and their birthdays!
Congrats on having a triplet of two-year-olds. You're going to need the energy of a nuclear power plant!
Really, blessings to you and the family, Nicole.
Thanks so much!
