That’s not meant to start a riot! I have my opinion, but I’d love to hear yours. It’s okay to disagree about this, so don’t hesitate to share. In my opinion, people often think Christian music is lame because they haven’t dug deeply enough into to find groups or singers that suit their interests. When secular music is divided into a dozen or more major categories and Christian music is all lumped into one, it’s easy to look at the top ten and then run in the other direction if they aren’t your preferred style.
Music is a tool that really speaks to me. It’s important, because I identify with it so much, that I fill my mind with music and lyrics that speak faith, hope and joy into my life. How about you? Does music play an important role in your life? Do you feel differently when listening to different types of music?
I really enjoy Christian music–especially the various praise bands like Third Day (my favorite!) and Chris Tomlin, Mercy Me, etc. Casting Crowns is another favorite of mine. Jars of Clay, Kari Jobe, etc. Here’s an example:

I LOVE Addison Road. Oh, and Fireflight is good, too. Adie and Jeremy Camp are up there on my FAVES list as well. But we can’t forget Bryan Duncan or Toby Mac.
Good ones, Lynn!
Rebecca St. james is a long time fav. though she doesn’t have new stuff anymore. TobyMac is great. BarlowGirl is the BEST!!!! they are great role models and have awesome, uplifting music too.
Actually, all I listen to is Christian but I think people can find a band that suits their tastes in the Christian genre even if they are not Christians.
I love RSJ!!! Awesome pick!
